Overview
Whilst we aim to meet the needs of all our guests, the age and design of the building might make access difficult for people with limited mobility. We are located on Weston hillside with 14 outside steps, with handrail, up to the front door. All our guest rooms are on the first, second & third floors. Rooms are not suitable for wheelchairs.
The following Access Statement gives an honest summary of our accommodation and is aimed at providing our Guests with as much information as possible about the layout of Timbertop Suites. Should you have any further enquiries, please do not hesitate to contact us, and we do our best to help.

Public Transport
Railway Station - Weston super Mare - approx. 1 mile away; approx. 19 mins walk.
Bus Station – Locking Road - approx. 1 mile away; approx 19 mins walk. We are not located on a main bus route.
Arrival & Car Parking
Check In – 3pm until 630pm (DUE TO COVID THESE TIMES HAVE NOW CHANGED - please refer to your confirmation email or contact us)
To ensure that your accommodation is ready for you, we ask that ALL guests contact us on the day of arrival to let us know an anticipated time of arrival. If you arrive early you are more than welcome to park up but please come to check in and register your car details. We can only try to accommodate late arrivals if you notify us at least 48 hrs prior to check in.
Car Parking

The car park is opposite the building on the left hand side of the cul de sac and takes up to 14 vehicles. Due to conservation, the parking bays are not marked and we simply ask guests to park considerately ie as close to each car as possible

Car park access is via a five-bar gated entrance, marked by the Timbertop sign. There is a gentle uneven slope to the entrance with a part gravel/part concrete uneven surface.

Security - the car park is private property and gated but it is not secure. Therefore we cannot accept any liability for any vehicles or property left in our car park, this is done so at the owners risk.

There is also unrestricted roadside parking in the cul de sac
From the car park entrance, guests will need to walk across the road and then gain entrance to Timbertop via stone steps to the front door. It may be advisable to check in and leave luggage in the car. Once you have checked in, we can give you assistance with your bags whenever possible.
Main Entrance & Reception
The main, front entrance to Timbertop is from Victoria Park. The front of the hotel is accessed by a series of stone steps as follows:

The front door is usually open during the day and locked early evening. There is a grey buzzer for you to ring if the door is closed when you arrive.
Reception is located part way down the entrance hall on the left, by the staircase. Guests are given one set of keys with a room key and a front door key. Please keep keys with you at all times.
Guest Accommodation – Public Areas

The hallway is approx. 4 ft wide and continually illuminated

The house is split into 2 sections; the original main 3 storey house and a 2 storey extension to the rear.

The main staircase is split into 4 sets – the first staircase has 15 carpeted stairs with handrail on one side only; the 2nd set has 5 carpeted steps with handrail on one side and then levels out onto a landing; the 3rd set has 8 carpeted steps, a small landing and then a final 4th set has 5 carpeted steps to the top landing.

The rear extension is accessed via first main staircase and then by 2 further steps leading to fire door. Through fire door there is a further internal staircase with 12 carpeted stairs with handrail on one side only

There are 9 en suite rooms altogether and located throughout the building as follows;
Rear Extension – Second floor

Room 1 – Standard double en suite room with a shower over full size bath

Room 2 – Small double en suite room with a shower over full size bath

Room 4 – Standard double en suite room with a step in shower
Shared guest kitchen on second floor which is shared by rooms 1 to 4. It has a fridge, microwave, toaster and sink.
Main House – Second floor

Room 5 – Suite with Balcony – 2 room suite with a double bedroom, living room with mini kitchen (sink, fridge & microwave) with access to private balcony through sliding patio door. En sutie step in shower room.

Room 6 – Suite with Sea View – 2 room suite with a large living/sleeping area – furnished with double bed, small 2 seater sofa, dining table etc. Mini Kitchen with integral fridge, sink, microwave, coffee machine. En suite bathroom with full size bath and shower over
Main House – Third Floor

Room 10 – Suite with Sea View – top floor 2 room suite with a double bedroom, small en suite shower room with mini bath and shower over. Large lounge area with small 2 seater sofa, dining table and 2 chairs.

Room 11 – Comfort Double – double en suite room with small bath and shower over
Shared kitchen on third floor for use by Rooms 10 and 11.
Adjacent to Main Hotel

7a – Suite with Sea View – this suite is accessed via 14 stone steps next door to the main hotel. This is a 3 room suite with a galley kitchen (fridge, toaster, microwave, sink) a lounge/dining room with an archway through to a double bedroom and ensuite shower over a mini bath.

All rooms are let on a Room Only Basis. Complimentary breakfast packs are left for guests booked into one of the Superior/Premier Suites. Guests booked into a standard room can preorder a breakfast pack if they wish which must be done at least 48 hrs prior to arrival.

Alcohol – The premises has a residential licence and drinks can be purchased between the hours of check in ie 3pm to 630pm (subject to availability).
Fire & Safety Information

The buildings are equipped with fire detection and fire alarm system throughout. Fire extinguishers are located on each landing

Fire blankets are in each of the shared guest kitchens

All rooms have fire doors with fire closers so should not be propped open

The building is no smoking throughout

Candles and naked flames are not to be used

Vapping is not allowed inside as this will set off the fire alarms

Smoking is allowed outside the building only

Guests are not permitted visitors back to stay at the accommodation. Any day visitors are to be registered at reception and must leave by 11pm
